Become an organizer
Your events, seen by the whole community.
Muwali is the app of Greater Montreal's Muslim community: halal places, mosques and the events calendar. With an organizer account, you publish your events yourself, live as soon as you save them.
Our goal: that everyone knows what is happening in the community, and that your gatherings bring more people together.
Accounts are opened on request: write to us and we send you your activation link.

What changes for you
Before the eventA poster, a story, and the hope that someone sees it.
Your event is live as soon as you save it, with no administrator approval to wait for. It joins the community calendar, and people who are interested get a notification. You can also ask us to share it on Muwali's Instagram: we review it before posting.
RegistrationsThe “I’m coming” messages get lost, and the list is kept by hand.
Participants register in the app and receive their ticket with a QR code by email. Free or paid, with online payment. Without the app, people get their ticket from the web.
Organizing the eventWho brings what? Who is on which team? Who's at the door?
Organization: spreading out the participants
You create groups, roles or things to bring; participants place themselves and see what is still missing. No more WhatsApp group where you count by hand who brings what.
- A barbecue: one person brings the meat, another the salads.
- A football tournament: team A or team B.
- A mixed activity: a brothers' group and a sisters' group.
- A volunteer day: everyone picks their post.
Team: the people who help you
Not to be confused with organization: here you give trusted volunteers access to work the door and scan tickets on the day, without handing over your account.
On the dayAt the door, everything moves fast.
You or your team scan tickets; the participant list stays at hand. If you sell meals or drinks on site, orders arrive in a queue that you hand out as you go.
After the eventHow many actually came?
Registrations, check-ins, tickets sold, revenue: it is all there. And if someone can no longer come, you handle their refund from the same screen.
How it works
You write to us
A message on Instagram to @muwali.guide, or an email to support@muwali.io, with the name of your organization.
We send you an activation link
It is personal: it opens your organization's space, and no one else's.
You open the link in the app
Your space is active: publish your first event right away.
Your questions
Is it free?
Yes: the account and publishing your events are free, with no subscription. For a paid event, a service fee is added to the ticket price at checkout; we give you the details when you write to us.
Do we keep control of our content?
Yes. You write, edit and remove your events yourself, from the app. Nothing is posted on Muwali's Instagram without your request.
Who sees our events?
Everyone who uses Muwali in Greater Montreal, in the app and on muwali.io. Without the app, people can still get their ticket from the web.
Can we stop and have our page removed?
Yes, at any time. Write to us and we remove your organizer page and your upcoming events.
Do we need technical skills?
No. If you can post a story, you can publish an event: a title, a date, a place, a poster.
Write to us
To open your space or ask a question: a message on Instagram or an email, and we get back to you.
The Muwali app is free, on iOS and Android.
